woo-hoo!! federer won the australian open once again!!
just like in the semi-finals with kiefer, he lost one of the first two sets, making heaps of unforced errors, double faults etc then miraculously bounces back to win the 3rd and 4th set 6-0, 6-2 for both semis and finals.
in the finals with baghdatis, he unbelievably loses the first set (has that ever happened before?!) then proceeds to lose the first 2 games in the second set, which i must say sent me into a nail-biting mode. but then the federer express is unleashed (winning 11 games in a row) and nothing can stop him.
that man is remarkable...he remains so collected at all times...he just seems to have absolute control over his mental and inner strength and keeps his composure throughout all his matches..until the end tho, as he very surprisingly broke down during his thank you speech. i suppose like what he said, "it's all coming out now".
excellent match..his strokes have always seemed so effortless to me and are executed with such grace as well.
what an amazing tennis player!
way to go federer!
